FOSTERING YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

The National Youth Reform Conference was initiated by the Re-Orientation Advocates of Nigeria (RAN) in May 2015 in a sustained bid to unite Nigerian youths and consolidate various youth development efforts and collectively address challenges that directly affect youths in Nigeria.

The initiative was adopted by various youth Organizations within the auspices of the National Youth Reform Group, all of whom collectively agreed to make the conference an annual event to review youth development activities in the country. The NYRG has also committed to adopting the summit as a veritable platform for carving a mutually shared objective on fostering youth development.

The First National Youth Reform Conference was held between the 25th to the 27th of July, 2015, at the National Centre for Women Development Abuja. Over 500 participants representing about (200) youth organizations from across the country were in attendance at the epoch making event. The deliberative report and collective recommendations of the conference was submitted to the Federal Ministry of Youth Development and also to President Muhammadu Buhari for consideration and action.

Collectively, we all can do great things.
